MASS PRODUCTION BATTERY
MACHINERY FACTORY
EQUIPMENT FOR PRODUCING LITHIUM BATTERY PLATES
Lithium-polymer
battery plate machinery, designed for mass production, is being adapted for
production of alkaline fuel cell electrodes. A combination
of several machines can produce 20 million fuel cell electrode per year on an
8-hour shift. Robert Aronsson, shown in both photos, is working with engineers
in the machinery factory to bring about these adaptations. Apollo raw
materials were run through some of this machinery in April, 2002 with excellent
results.
