The Silver Volt was driven from Dearborn ( a Detroit suburb), Michigan to
Chicago, Illinois in hybrid mode, with lead Cobalt Battery in parallel with
Rotary Engine (Auxiliary Power Unit).
In Dearborn and Kalamazoo, the car was driven on battery power only. After
entering the I-94 Freeway, it was driven in hybrid mode at approximately 50
miles per hour. The trip covered 301.55 miles and took 6 hours and 22
minutes.
